The name PCDC Lipolysis comes from a combination of phosphatidylcholine deoxycholic acid (PCDC) and Lipodissolve also known as lipolysis or mesotherapy. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule found in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. The PCDC Lipolysis treatment is intended to reduce and destroy unwanted fat cells.
The medication destroys the cell membrane causing lysis when injected into the tissue. The fat cells absorb the medication, become temporarily inflamed and harden, and then are broken down and eliminated by the body’s natural processes.
PCDC Lipolysis is administered by way of micro-injections which are injected locally into the subcutaneous fat found in the targeted treatment areas. This treatment is currently used in treatments of the unwanted fat found in the submental (double chin) and other areas.
PCDC lipolysis is suitable for patients who prefer a non-surgical fat reduction treatment. Ideal candidates are in good overall health and have realistic expectations. Patients who are at a relatively stable weight and have no plans to gain significant weight are excellent candidates. Candidates must not be not pregnant or breastfeeding.
During your consultation, we will examine the areas where you want to remove unwanted fatty tissue. We will evaluate your medical history to ensure you are safe for the PCDC lipolysis treatment. We will create the appropriate treatment plan based on the body areas you are concerned about and the amount of fat you want removed. We will explain the treatment plan, including the number of injections necessary for each treatment area and the estimated cost of the entire treatment.
PCDC lipolysis treatment can last from 30 minutes up to 1 hour. The exact duration will depend on the number of treatment areas and the treatment plan. Local anesthesia may be administered, as well as 4 to 5 minutes of icing. A specific amount of PCDC will be injected based on the treatment area and amount of excess fat.

The patient can go home right after the treatment. A stinging sensation may be experienced for around 30 minutes or less after the procedure. Some patients can go back to work, while others will need 1 to 2 days of downtime/recovery. Patients may experience temporary redness, itching, swelling, or bruising during the downtime or for the first week.

Specific aftercare instructions will be provided, along with the schedule for the next treatment session.

Cancellation Policy

As a courtesy to our customers at Serene Aesthetics & Wellness Spa, please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee, which will be decided by individual Serene Aesthetics customers as per their company policies if an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance or if there is a no-show.

For new clients first appointments, a no show or late cancellation will result in a full charge of the new client fee Because appointments fill up quickly, we suggest you schedule your next appointment before you leave.
